Time Travel University

Submitted by Jeff Bellamy on 04/07/2008

Give your students something to think about. Let them plan a field trip....to 15th century France. If they were going back in time what would they need to know?

How would they function in a place without electricity or plastics? How do you start a fire? How do you prepare and bake bread. how do you preserve food without refrigeration?

If we tell the people we meet in the past about all our cool technology would we be able to explain how it works?

If each student could take back 5 pounds of stuff what would they take (I always take Gortex based dental floss and plastic wrap).

I believe that our first goal is to find the means to insure that our students 'want' to learn. When they have found a project that interests them then they will start to uncover things they need to know and this is the engine that will drive their learning. We are Coaches.

To help develop a curriculum and provide education materials I am starting a Time Travel University
